Texture Pack Summary
In Minecraft, not many things scare me, but the Backrooms always do. So when I saw there was a cheaper Backrooms Texture Pack by HeroPixel Games, I had to try it. It costs 490 Minecoins (about £2.50) and completely transforms your world into a creepy, eerie version of the Backrooms. Mobs look terrifying, blocks look infected, and even normal places like the cherry blossom biome feel unsettling. The ice spikes, the dark water, and the scary animals really gave me chills. From the moment I loaded in, I felt like something was watching me. If you’re into horror-style Minecraft texture packs, this one’s already off to a strong start.
While it’s not as polished as the more expensive Backrooms pack I reviewed before, this cheaper version still has a lot going for it. The mobs are creepy (especially the Warden, Creeper, and Enderman), the Nether looks eerie, and even the Ender Dragon has a new look. The spawn eggs are shaped like lab beakers, which is a cool detail. And for the price, I think it’s an amazing deal. It captures the creepy feeling of the Backrooms perfectly. I give this texture pack a solid 10 out of 10 for value and atmosphere. If you're looking for a spooky Minecraft texture pack that won’t break the bank, this is one I totally recommend.
Pros
- Affordable Price - At 490 Minecoins, it's a budget-friendly option compared to more expensive Backrooms texture packs, offering great value.
- Creepy Atmosphere - The pack nails the eerie, unsettling Backrooms vibe, making even normal biomes like cherry blossoms feel haunted.
- Terrifying Mobs - Redesigned mobs like the Warden, Creeper, Enderman, and even chickens look uniquely creepy and match the horror theme well.
- Unique Details - Nice touches like lab beaker-style spawn eggs and the infected-looking blocks add to the immersive horror aesthetic.
- Strong Biome Redesigns - Biomes like the Ice Spikes and Nether feel deeply eerie and infected, making exploration genuinely scary.
Cons
- Weaker Nether Mobs – Nether mobs like Piglins, Ghasts, and Blazes don’t look as unique or scary compared to the Overworld mobs.
- End Dimension Lacks Impact – Despite a cool Ender Dragon redesign, the End itself doesn’t look very different or scary.
