Texture Pack Summary

I checked out the Forge Medieval Texture Pack by Big Dye Gaming for Minecraft Bedrock and I was honestly blown away. It brings a dark fantasy medieval feel to the game with realistic colours, 3D mobs, custom blocks, and tons of detail. The texture pack includes hidden extras like mob variations and double slab block designs that are not even mentioned in the description. Everything from the UI to the wandering trader has been redesigned with care. It reminded me a lot of the Kingdoms pack but at half the price and just as impressive. The Iron Golem looked like a knight, the Enderman wore a hood, and the Warden even carried a weapon. It felt like playing in a medieval fantasy movie.

There were a few things I did not like. Some textures were a little blurry, like the cow and soul sand. The Nether had a cool look but felt a bit plain in spots, and the Ender Dragon design was not really my style. The Wither looked awesome but had a slightly broken tail. Still, those are small things compared to how much I enjoyed this pack overall. I gave the Forge Medieval Texture Pack a 9 out of 10. It is full of effort, value, and creativity and I think it deserves to be in my top five texture packs ever. If you like medieval or fantasy worlds in Minecraft, this is a must try.

Pros

  • Extremely High Effort and Care: The pack includes mob variation, block variation, double slab textures, and detailed 3D models — all without bragging about it in the description.
  • Gothic Medieval Fantasy Aesthetic: The darker colour tones, realistic stonework, and rich visual detail give the world a strong medieval fantasy atmosphere.
  • Amazing Value for the Price: At 660 Minecoins, the pack delivers features and polish on par with more expensive packs like Kingdoms, but at nearly half the price.
  • Custom UI, Mobs, and Animations: Tailored interfaces, unique mob models (like the Iron Golem, Warden, and Piglins), and subtle animations add to immersion.
  • Original Weapons and Armor Designs: Most armour and tools are uniquely modelled, with only minimal repetition, avoiding the usual copy-and-paste style.

Cons

  • Some Textures Are Blurry or Noisy: A few mobs and blocks (like the cow, soul sand, and certain armour sets) suffer from grainy or muddy textures.
  • Chainmail Lacks Transparency: The chainmail armour is solid rather than see-through, which may disappoint players expecting traditional mesh visuals.
  • The Nether Feels Visually Flat: Some Nether textures like the red biome ground and soul sand look plain or underwhelming compared to the rest of the pack.
  • Slightly Broken Wither Model: The Wither design is creative, but its tail appears misaligned, which breaks immersion slightly.
  • Ender Dragon Design May Not Suit Everyone: The dragon has a unique purple scale pattern with thick outlines, but it may feel too cartoonish for some.
