Texture Pack Summary

I reviewed the Fractured Texture Pack by Giggle Block Studios for Minecraft Bedrock, which aims to create a dystopian, post-apocalyptic style. The menus use a sleek dark mode, and some blocks show cracked designs to fit the theme. At first glance, the sand, dirt, and stone look bright and sharp, with smooth colours and decent polish. However, the pack quickly shows its age, as many mobs and blocks remain unchanged from vanilla, and the “fractured” effect is often just the same crack pattern repeated across different textures.

Villagers, hostile mobs, and structures all feel underwhelming, with copy-and-paste cracks instead of creative redesigns. The Nether and End also suffer from minimal updates, and the Trial Chambers reveal major outdated areas that break immersion. While there are small highlights like the cracked coloured glass and vibrant blue skulk in the Ancient City, the overall pack feels lazy, outdated, and overpriced at 990 minecoins. It has the base of a good design but lacks dedication and updates to make it worth buying.

Pros

  • Sleek dark mode menus - Clean and easy-to-read interface across all GUIs.
  • Polished block textures - Sand, dirt, and stone look smooth and vibrant.
  • Strong colours in places - Grass, hay, and skulk blocks have bright, bold designs.
  • Creative cracked glass - Coloured glass shows transparent breaks for a clever effect.
  • Good skeleton horse model - Transparent design feels well-made compared to other mobs.

Cons

  • Outdated content - Many blocks and mobs are still vanilla, breaking immersion.
  • Repetitive crack patterns - The same fracture design is copy-pasted across too many textures.
  • Weak mob designs - Zombies, creepers and skeletons have minimal effort changes.
  • Uninspired Nether and End - Bosses and biomes look plain with little creativity.
  • Overpriced for quality - At 990 minecoins, it lacks the updates and variety to justify the cost.
