Texture Pack Summary

In this Simple Texture Pack Minecraft review, I bought the pack by Pickaxe Studios for just 310 Minecoins, and I was honestly shocked by how much effort went into it. The textures are clean, colourful, and super bright, making the game feel happy and vibrant. The pack keeps everything simple, with blocky designs, light embossing, and smooth textures that give a slightly raised look to some blocks. Even the menus and GUI have been updated with orange and soft yellow tones, which is something many more expensive packs don’t even do. The water is clear, the mobs look cute and easy to see, and the overall vibe is clean and cheerful. Even though passive mobs like cows and chickens are still default due to a bug, most things still feel fresh and well designed.

The mobs are very simple but still have personality. Zombies wear crowns, creepers are bright green, and skeletons have just a face with no detail. The Nether and End areas continue the bold colour style, with strong reds, purples, and blues. Boss mobs like the Warden and Wither feel a little inconsistent in colour, but they still fit the clean theme. It even works well as a PvP texture pack, with low fire and small weapon models. At 310 Minecoins, this minimalist texture pack is a great deal. It may not be as fancy as Legendary, Kingdoms or sci-fi packs, but for a simple, happy, and colourful experience, I gave it a 9 out of 10. If you like clean and vibrant textures, this one is absolutely worth it.

Pros

  • Great value – Only 310 Minecoins for a full texture pack with updated GUI, blocks, mobs, and more.
  • Clean and colourful style – Bright colours and simple designs make everything feel fun and cheerful.
  • Smooth textures with depth – Some blocks have a raised effect that makes the world feel less flat.
  • Fully playable and PvP friendly – Small weapon models and low fire make it easy to use in survival or PvP.
  • Strong consistency – Blocks, mobs, and menus all follow the same clean, bright style.

Cons

  • Some mobs are default – Passive mobs like cows and chickens are unchanged due to update bugs.
  • Villagers lack variety – All villagers look the same, which breaks immersion a bit.
  • Certain textures feel too busy – A few blocks like pale oak look out of place in a minimalist pack.
  • Weapons and armour feel copy and paste – Tools and gear are simple but lack variety across types.
  • Warden and Wither feel off-theme – Boss mobs don’t fully match the color theme of the rest of the pack.
