What Is The Next BIG Minecraft Bedrock Trend?
(Editors Note: I wrote this before Vibrant Visuals Texture Packs and Luminous Dreams were announced, but I actually think that might become a whole new section, not JUST a trend)
Or maybe something more obscure. You see trends come and go all the time in the Minecraft Marketplace.
We all know we have seen the big trend of Realism Texture Packs come into the Minecraft Marketplace, some average, some terrible. Has that time come to an end recently? With the announcement of new Vibrant Visual Texture Packs coming to Minecraft Bedrock (Hi, Luminous Dreams and Poggy), if it hasn't yet, its soon going to end... or at least that is how it feels.
I'm going to make a prediction. I think the next big trend of Minecraft Bedrock and the Minecraft Marketplace is going to be...
QUESTS!

The Way To Play Minecraft
Now, Minecraft is sandbox game. You play the game how you want to play it. Build the lore you want. Turn in the direction where you want to go. Craft what you want. Farm what you need. Sculpt the world anyway you see fit... And that is AWESOME.
But for some, its difficult. Whether its being paralysed by endless choice, a lack of creative spark or maybe boredom of the same old same old... its very easy to fall into a hole of enthusiasm and creativity.
That's where Quests reignite the game in a way very little else could. With the right Quest Add on, purpose returns the game, a distraction appears or dare I say, a challenge.
I believe we are going to see more and more Quest based Minecraft Bedrock Add Ons release into the Minecraft Marketplace. We are already seeing RPG style Add Ons releasing, which look to guide players into specific play styles. Levelling systems, abilities, strengths and weaknesses have all found their way to Minecraft Bedrock. I predict Quests and Objectives will be next.
Achievements are already loved by the fan base, so much so that Mojang changed it so Minecraft Bedrock Add Ons no longer disable them. People want a reason to play.... THIS could be it.
What Does A Minecraft Bedrock Quest Add On NEED To Be?
I don't even think it needs to be fancy. The best Quest Add Ons will have NPCs and polished gameplay animations. But all that is really needed is a wide range of Quests, fair loot and some care in the final product.
A notice board in a village, an NPC that visits, quests that can be found in chests... all viable options I can think for something easy.
But why stop at easy? I hope we see some awesome, polished, detailed Quest Add Ons come to Minecraft Bedrock. With a mix of challenges, and a fair (read: not OP but not useless) rewards.
