Texture Pack Summary

I had the opportunity to try out the Prizma Visuals 2.0 Texture Pack by Starfish Studios early, ahead of its official Minecraft Bedrock release on October 28th for 990 minecoins. This vibrant visuals pack pushes the limits of what’s possible in Minecraft Bedrock, introducing realistic lighting, shader-like water effects, and advanced PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures that add metallic reflections, bumps, and surface depth to every block. The pack includes three quality settings 16x (Classic), 32x (Vanilla), and 64x (Plus Mode) with Plus Mode unlocking the full experience, including custom animations for players and mobs. It’s designed to integrate with other texture packs once compatible updates arrive after launch, marking the beginning of a new generation of visual realism for Minecraft Bedrock.

On October 28th, Minecraft Bedrock will launch its Official Vibrant Visuals Texture Pack Support - Meaning your favourite texture packs will potentially be compatible with Vibrant Visuals (if the creator updates them be compatible)

Exploring the world with Prizma Visuals immediately feels like stepping into a different game. Water ripples naturally with light refraction and slow, hypnotic movement. Underwater, the lighting shifts dramatically, creating cinematic shadows and shimmering highlights. Caves and lava pools glow with realistic light diffusion, while sunlight changes colour and mood depending on biome. The height maps on dirt, stone, and wood remove the game’s flatness, giving each surface a sense of physical depth. The pack also introduces biome lighting, where regions subtly shift in tone from cool greens to warm yellows making exploration feel dynamic and alive.

The mob and structure designs complement the lighting technology perfectly. Animals like cows, sheep, and horses have subtle new animations and depth, while villagers and golems shine under realistic reflections. Underwater guardians and drowned mobs glow faintly in the darkness, and copper, amethyst, and prismarine blocks feature stunning metallic sheens that react to sunlight. The Nether and End dimensions are transformed too, with biome-specific lighting, glowing magma cubes, and reflective surfaces that change mood as you move. The way shadows and brightness transition between day and night feels almost cinematic, turning simple landscapes into art.

The Prizma Visuals 2.0 Texture Pack represents a huge step forward for Minecraft Bedrock’s future. The dynamic lighting system, 3D block depth, and smooth animations create an experience closer to modern PC shaders but fully integrated into Minecraft Bedrock’s framework. There are still small issues - like minor light clipping, and some overly bright reflections (which may not be an issue for some) - but it’s a remarkable technical showcase. Starfish Studios has set a new standard for how texture packs can look and feel on Minecraft Bedrock, proving that vibrant visuals are not just a gimmick but a foundation for the next era of creativity in Minecraft.

Pros

  • Ground-breaking PBR lighting - Realistic reflections, metallic textures, and depth mapping redefine how blocks interact with light.
  • Cinematic water and sky - Rippling water, glowing sunsets, and biome-specific lighting bring the world to life.
  • Custom animations - Players and mobs move more naturally with subtle, realistic motion.
  • Gorgeous material effects - Copper, amethyst, and prismarine shimmer and reflect beautifully under sunlight.
  • Built-in future compatibility - Designed to work with other texture packs after launch updates.

Cons

  • Minor visual bugs - Occasional light clipping and lag (but I was on a Minecraft Realm, which may not have helped).
  • High brightness sensitivity - Requires careful adjustment to avoid glare or eye strain, individual preference for Vibrant Visual brightness settings will be a massive factor.
  • Basic mob designs in places - The base textures of mobs stick to the vanilla designs in places, which I understand as the concept is still new and its mostly about the lighting.
  • Large file size - At over 40MB, it can load slowly on weaker devices, but unfortunately, that comes with what is being delivered - size will bloat for Vibrant Visual Texture Packs.
  • Premium price point - At 990 minecoins, it’s expensive but justified by its cutting-edge visuals and the fact it initially was planned to be 1340.
